Mega SVEEP Festival held at GDC Tangdar, Plantation drive under SVEEP also kick-started

Kupwara: As part of the calendar of activities under SVEEP devised by District Nodal officer SVEEP (CEO Kupwara), a constituency level Mega SVEEP Festival was organized at GDC Tanghdar.
General public, first time voters, community leaders, local Artists and student achievers participated in the festival.
On the occasion, various activities were conducted which include speeches, student competitions, awareness regarding electoral participation, felicitations and cultural shows.
It was informed that the Festival which is first of its kind will be held in other 5 constituencies of district Kupwara as per the schedule already issued.
SDM Karnah, Tehsildar, Principal GDC Tanghdar, Zonal Education Officer from Tanghdar and Chamkote Zone also attended the event.
On the directions of the District Election Officer, District Nodal Officer SVEEP organized a Mega SVEEP plantation drive cum awareness.
The drive was kick-started from Government Higher Secondary School Warnow by the cluster head Warnow. The students, civilians and senior citizens took part in the drive.
Another such Plantation drive was also organized in High school Trich to raise awareness and mobilize the masses for greater electoral participation.
Awareness programmes under SVEEP and AVF were also organized in Chamkote, Mawar and Khumriyal.
