2024 Lok Sabha Polls: United NDA Vs Divided INDIA Bloc

“BJP led NDA is fasting consolidating it’s position on the political landscape of the country from North To South and East to West”

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi setting the target of 370 Plus for BJP and 400 Plus for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections almost a month before bringing back into NDA fold bigger allies like Nitish Kumar’s Janta Dal United  and N Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) the ruling BJP led NDA is fasting consolidating it’s position on the political landscape of the country from North To South and East to West. On the contrary the Congress led INDIA bloc does not consolidate it’s position anywhere in the country as Congress itself has failed to settle a seat sharing pact with Mamta Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in West Bengal and Arwind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. With BJP led NDA going to Lok Sabha polls with the agenda of One Election, One Nation and implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and Congress led INDIA bloc after failing to script a common minimum program restricting itself to just opposing BJP led NDA’s   agenda of One Election, One Nation and implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) the message going out to the voters across the country is that Congress led NDA bloc is miserably failing to get united both on the seat sharing and as well as the agenda for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“While prompting leaders of other political particularly those of Congress like Ashok Chawan a former Mahrastra Chief Minister to join BJP and simultaneously extending the base of NDA by realignment with regional parties in key states the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not leave any scope for the Congress led INDIA bloc to occupy any space even in a single key state in the country.”

While Congress led INDIA bloc should have settled all differences over seat sharing arrangements among the constituent parties in key states and announced a common minimum program much before the announcement of election schedule by the Election Commission, the opposition Alliance led by Congress is still in the process of settling seat sharing arrangements in many states and a discussion over a common minimum program is nowhere in sight.  So the 2024 Lok Sabha election is fast changing into a contest between a united BJP led NDA and a divided Congress led INDIA bloc. While trying to consolidate it’s position on seeking votes for keeping promises over constructng Ram Temple in Ayodhya and abrogating  Article 37o in J&K marking an end to street violence and rise in militancy and separatist politics in Kashmir the BJP is going to elections also with a non-sectarian national agenda of development and vision of 5 trillion economy to make India the world’s third largest economy . What matters the most is the fact that while prompting leaders of other political particularly those of Congress like Ashok Chawan a former Mahrastra Chief Minister to join BJP and simultaneously extending the base of NDA by realignment with regional parties in key states the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not leave any scope for the Congress led INDIA bloc to occupy any space even in a single key state in the country.
