Kathua: The District Information Centre Kathua, a unit of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has taken a creative approach to boost voter participation in the upcoming elections.
In a bid to engage citizens and make the message of voting more relatable, the department has infused humour into its SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) campaign.
Drawing inspiration from popular Bollywood dialogues and characters from movies and web series, DIPR Kathua curated a series of hilarious memes and creative content, which are being circulated on various social media platforms. The campaign aims to grab the attention of voters and encourage them to exercise their democratic right.
Speaking about the innovative approach, DIO KathuaNeerajBhargav who is also the Nodal Officer for SVEEP, stated, “We understand the importance of voter turnout in ensuring a robust democracy”.
