Srinagar: Below is the timeline of the weeklong public engagements of Jammu & Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha within and outside Jammu & Kashmir:-
On March 11: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his hearty greetings to the people on the beginning of the holy month of Ramzan. In a message, the Lt Governor said: “Heartiest greetings and good wishes to all on the beginning of the sacred month of Ramzan. May this holy month bring peace, prosperity and joy for everyone”.
On Mar 12, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revolutionising rail infrastructure and connectivity in J&K and dedicating a number of railway projects to the people of the Union Territory. He laid the foundation stone and dedicated Railway projects worth over Rs 85,000 crores.

On Mar 13, March 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for sanctioning credit support to one lakh entrepreneurs from the disadvantaged sections of the country. He launched the Pradhan Mantri Samajik Utthan evam Rozgar Adharit Jankalyan (PM-SURAJ) national portal and sanctioned credit support to one lakh entrepreneurs of socially disadvantaged sections of the country.
On Mar 14, In a major step towards economic empowerment of displaced and migrant communities, J&K Government provided financial support to 350 youth belonging to displaced families of PoJK, West Pakistan Refugees and Kashmiri Migrant families, to start their own business venture. The historic event was presided over by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Convention Centre. “It is a momentous day for J&K. The financial assistance extended to displaced families of PoJK, West Pakistan Refugees and Kashmiri Migrant families today will help them to realize their dreams and ignite entrepreneurial culture in the community,” the Lt Governor said.
On March 15, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Leadership Engagement program attended by Heads of Premier Institutions of the country.The 5-day program will discuss and debate various themes to achieve the goals of developing effective academic leaders as envisioned in National Education Policy 2020.
The Lt Governor impressed upon the academic institutions to adopt best practices and set new standards in technical education.
On March 15, Representatives of several displaced Kashmiri Pandit organisations called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.The members of the delegation apprised the Lt Governor of various welfare issues of the community. They also presented several publications to Lt Governor including a book titled “Kashmir After Kalhana” written by Dr R L Bhat and ‘Pavak’ magazine of Jonaraja Institute of Genocide & Atrocities Studies.
On Mar 16, LG Sinha addressed the SRCC Business Conclave 2024. He Interacted with the bright students of prestigious college in Commerce, Management and Economics Education. Shared achievements of J&K UT after abrogation of Article 370 and vision for its future. He said Today J&K is growing at an impressive pace and quiet transformation is taking place in various sectors. We have embarked on a transformation of key economic areas to achieve the goals of inclusive & rapid development to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
