Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has seized six vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Handwara district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that Handwara police seized six vehicles bearing registration and chassis numbers JK13E-2804, JK01AJ-0543, JK1AH-2552, JK09C-7853, AZUDR1046001S3 & 0013 involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Handwara.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police appealed people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules. Police also reiterated that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
