Ganderbal : The NSS unit in collaboration with the Department of Students Welfare (DSW) Central University of Kashmir (CUK) on Tuesday conducted a quiz programme on capacity building in voter education.
The event titled “Nothing like voting, I Vote for Sure” was aimed to emphasize the importance of each vote and encourage individuals to participate actively in the electoral process.
Faculty and students from various departments participated in the quiz programme, and the team comprising Bilal Ahmed Najar from the Department of Urdu, Junaid Fayaz Lone and Zuhaib Khan from the Department of Tourism Studies (B.Voc), emerged as the winners.
The event was presided over by Dr. Irfan Aalam (DSW), Dr. Shabir Ahmad Ahanger (NSS Coordinator), Mr. Dinesh Kumar (PO NSS), and Dr. Mohammad Muzamil Shah (PO NSS). Meanwhile, the voter pledge was also taken in other teaching departments.
The NSS unit also organised a special screening of a video about “Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye” for the students in the department of Mathematics. The event was presided over by Dr. Shabir Ahmad Ahanger (NSS Coordinator). Dr. G. M. Sofi (Academic Coordinator) and other faculty members were present.
