Lok Sabha Election – 2024: DEO B’pora constitutes Distt Grievance Committee

Bandipora: In view of the upcoming General Elections to Lok Sabha-2024, the District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Shakeel Ul Rehman on Monday constituted a three-member Grievance Committee.
According to the order vide number 25-DEO/BPR of 2024 Dated 10-03-2024, ADDC Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Bhat shall head the committee with Sheikh Abid Manzoor, DTO Bandipora, Shameem Ahmad, LDM Bandipora, as its members.
The committee has been authorized to ‘suo moto’ examine each case of seizure made by the police or SST or Flying Squad in violation of the model code of conduct.
Moreover the committee has been asked to follow the SOPs notified by ECI and the subsequent guidelines via letter No:-76/ECI/SOP/EEM/EEPS/2023, dated:-23/11/2023.
Meanwhile, the Committee has appealed to the people to contact them on their numbers in case of any complaint or grievance.
