Jammu : The J&K Skill Development Mission (JKSDM), in collaboration with Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), GoI and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and with the active support of Skill Department J&K, has kick started the state level competition of different job roles in the J&K.
India’s excellence in different artistic and culinary skill sets is described in our ancient and contemporary literature and it will not be an exaggeration to say that it is still ingrained in the soil of the remotest part of the country.
Further, after globalization India has also developed its niche particularly in IT related skill sets like web designing, graphic design technology, IT software solutions for business, mobile robotics etc.
To make India the “Skill Capital” of the world, it is essentially required to showcase the country’s excellence in different skill sets across the globe.
To penetrate these competitions to the remotest part of the country and to encourage Indian youth to participate in these competitions and get selected to participate in World Skills and other International competitions, the India Skills competitions 2023-24 have been organized by Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission.
India Skills Competition is the best way to recognize and celebrate the hardwork and dedication of our participants at the J&K level Competition.
Among the job roles selected, the State Level Competition of Auto Body Repair and CNC Turning Skill Sets, was organized on Monday at CIIIT, Government Polytechnic Jammu- the academic partners to JKSDM. The candidates from across J&K participated in the state level competition, which will lead them to pre National competitions and National level competitions and finally the winner will participate in World Skills Competitions scheduled in Lyon France later this year.
“JKSDM will continue to organize such initiatives and give opportunity to youth of J&K, State Level Competitions in 18 skill sets are being conducted at various venues across the J&K wherein more than 250 candidates will compete to represent J&K in Pre National and National Level Competitions” said Leena Padha, Mission Director, JKSDM.
