MeT predicts light rain, snow at few places over J&K

Srinagar, Mar 11: Meteorological Centre Srinagar predicts light rain and snow at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The MeT office said the weather will remain partially to generally cloudy on Monday, and there is a possibility of light rain and snow at a few places while the weather will remain partially to generally cloudy on March 12.
It has also been predicted that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snow in many places with thunder and lightning accompanied by gusty winds on March 13.
The weather will remain partially to generally cloudy with the possibility of light rain and snow at a few places on March 14, the MeT office said.
The weather is likely to remain dry from March 15 to March 20, it said.
The night temperature improved and was recorded above normal in all stations of the Kashmir Valley recorded during the intervening nights of Sunday and Monday.
Srinagar had a low of 6.3°C against the 2.2°C recorded during the intervening nights of Sunday and Monday. It was 3.0°C above normal for the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir recorded a low of 4.4°C, while the picnic spot in Kokernag also settled at 4.4°C on Monday.
The night temperature at Pahalgam improved and was recorded at 2.2°C against -2.5°C a day ago. It was 3.6°C above normal for the famous tourist hot spot of south Kashmir.
The temperature at the ski resort of Gulmarg also improved and was recorded at -1.0°C against -3.4°C the previous night. It was 2.5°C above normal for the valley of meadows in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.
Kupwara had a low of 4.0°C against the -0.5°C recorded the previous night. It was 2.7°C above normal for the frontier Kashmir district on Monday, the MeT office said
