Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Programme’ and unveiling the ‘Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine’ project. Additionally, the Lieutenant Governor bestowed blessings upon the newest members of the government by personally distributing their appointment orders. He acknowledged that rapid and inclusive development has been the central focus of the Hon’ble Prime Minister since 2014. Every moment has been dedicated to restoring the rights of those on the margins, ushering in a new era of peace, prosperity, and hope in the region.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said Jammu and Kashmir, once a crown jewel, is now shining with renewed glory, thanks to the Prime Minister’s commitment to ensuring that the fruits of development reach every stratum of society. The vision is clear – to provide equal opportunities for growth, justice, and dignity to all citizens. The Lieutenant Governor highlighted the Prime Minister’s dedication to building a prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, giving impetus to infrastructure development and aligning the aspirations of the region with those of the entire nation. “Women empowerment has been a key focus, with the restoration of women’s rights and the introduction of entrepreneur schemes aimed at financial independence. The Hon’ble Prime Minister has placed Nari Shakti at the forefront of J&K’s development journey, ensuring a life of dignity for women,” he said. The LG Sinha said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have seen their dreams take flight, with the youth provided opportunities to harness their full potential, driving socio-economic development. The Bakshi Stadium, filled to its 35,000 capacity, symbolizes the overwhelming love and support of the Kashmiri people for Prime Minister Modi.
Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, there is a newfound dynamism in infrastructure development, with projects such as the Z-Morh tunnel, Zojila tunnel, Srinagar Ring Road, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway, and various highway projects, collectively transforming the landscape. Highlighting the extensive progress, the Lieutenant Governor outlined upcoming milestones, including the completion of the Z-Morh tunnel, Zojila tunnel, and Srinagar Ring Road phases. The commitment to connecting remote areas with projects like Qazigund-Shopian-Pulmama-Srinagar NH444 demonstrates a comprehensive approach to development. He also emphasized the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), connecting every village with a population of 500 with roads. Moreover, significant investments in smart city projects and NABARD-funded initiatives underscore the holistic approach to regional development. In the last four years, the transparent recruitment of over 36,000 government jobs has further demonstrated the commitment to fair governance and employment opportunities. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha concluded by expressing optimism for the future, highlighting the transformative impact of the ongoing projects and the promise of a bright tomorrow for Jammu and Kashmir.
