DC G’bal reviews preparations for Amarnath Yatra-2023

Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir Monday presided over a significant preparatory meeting at the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, outlining the comprehensive action plan for the upcoming ShriAmarnathJi Yatra-2024 (SANJY).
The meeting began with an in-depth review of action plans submitted by various departments, focusing on key areas such as sanitation, flood protection, lighting, parking, mobile connectivity, contingency plans, RFID card issuance, registration processes, and overall infrastructure development.
Heads of Departments provided updates on preparations and the progress of works related to the Yatra. The DC stressed the importance of early execution to ensure a seamless and foolproof execution of SANJY-2024.
Addressing accommodation concerns raised by several departments, the DC instructed the CEO SDA to share a list of government accommodations available at Sonamarg for judicious utilization.
SSP Ganderbal shared valuable feedback to ensure the seamless execution of SANJY-2024. Officers drew upon their experiences from previous years, offering suggestions to enhance essential services for a successful Yatra.
The Border Roads Organization was directed to assess crash barrier requirements along the Yatra route and identify areas needing road resurfacing. The Animal Husbandry department was instructed to mobilize staff promptly for the timely completion of pony registration before the Yatra begins.
Following a detailed discussion, the DC issued necessary instructions to all departments associated with the Yatra via the Baltal route, emphasizing the enhancement of various essential services during the Yatra period.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ADC, Gulzar Ahmad; CEO SDA, Farooq Ahmad Baba; CPO, ACD, Executive Engineers of various wings, DFO Sindh Forest Division, and officers from other line departments.
