Awantipora : The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development, Islamic University of Science and Technology on Monday conducted one-day Entrepreneurship and Skill Awareness Programme for ST students. The program aimed to equip ST students with comprehensive insights into entrepreneurship and innovation, fostering a culture of self-reliance and empowerment.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, Prof. Parvez A Mir, CEO, CIED IUST Foundation emphasized on the importance of staying abreast of entrepreneurial trends and acquiring relevant skills in today’s competitive milieu. Participants benefitted from informative sessions conducted by Dr. AsifNaqeshbandi, Coordinator of the IPR Cell, CIED, who elucidated various facets of intellectual property rights, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks. Dr. BasharatNabi Dar, Coordinator of EDC and CPSB, addressed the intricacies of start-up establishment and offered strategies to mitigate challenges.
The program also facilitated first-hand exploration of IUST’s High-Performance Computing Lab, Robotics Lab, and Rumi Library, providing participants with valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies and resources available within the university’s ecosystem.
