Awareness Prog/ demonstration on EVMs , VVPATs for sanitation workers held at SMC

Srinagar : On the directions of District Election Officer, Srinagar and ahead of LokSabha elections, 2024, the Electoral Registration Officers of 23-Chanpora and 21-Habbakadal Electoral Constituencies (ECs) on Monday conducted awareness programme cum demonstration on EVMs and VVPATs for the sanitation workers at Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).
The programme was organized to provide them with a first-hand experience of the voting process and familiarity with the machines.
During the demonstration program, ERO 23-Chanpora electoral constituency, MudasirChaudhry said that the awareness programme organized Monday focuses on imparting knowledge about the basic features of EVMs and VVPATs, elucidating the step-by-step procedure of casting votes and educating our sanitation workers on how to verify their choices through the VVPAT slip.
