2-drug smugglers booked under PIT NDPS Act in Kulgam

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has booked two notorious drug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act in Kulgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the two drug smugglers identified as Sabzar Ahmad Rather S/o Abdul Salam Rather R/o Malipora and Sabzar Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Ahsan Bhat R/o Tarigam, have been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, adding therein that the booked drug peddlers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu.
Stating that cases have been registered against the said drug peddlers for being involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of District Kulgam, Police in it’s statement further said that despite involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement reiterated it’s commitment to eradicate social evils and make all efforts to keep the society free from drug abuse.
