Ramban : In the heart of District Ramban, three vibrant municipalities are witnessing a remarkable transformation through the PradhanMantriAwasYojana Urban (PMAY-U). As many as 591 eligible families, spanning across the Municipal towns of Ramban, Banihal, and Batote have released the dream of owning a house.
Under the visionary leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-HaqChaudhary, the PMAY-U scheme has transcended mere housing provisions and has become a symbol of empowerment and dignity for the community.
In Ramban Municipal Council alone, 115 families are already relishing the comfort of their completed homes, while 158 others have been granted the privilege of a PMAY-U house and the rest are in different stages of construction.
Likewise, in Banihal and Batote Municipal Committees, 247 and 186 families respectively have been bestowed with the promise of a brighter future through PMAY-U. The tireless efforts of the local municipalities have enabled 139 families in Banihal and 87 families in Batote to step into their new abodes, while the construction endeavors continue unabated for the remaining beneficiaries.
The impact of PMAY-U extends far beyond bricks and logs, as it resonates deeply within the hearts of the recipients. The government’s commitment to fulfilling the dreams of its citizens has been met with resounding appreciation from the people. It is not just about providing houses, it is about nurturing a sense of belonging and security within the community.
The gratitude expressed by the beneficiaries echoes the sentiment of millions across the nation, who have found solace and sanctuary in the PMAY-U initiative. From urban landscapes to rural vistas, the PMAY scheme stands as a testament to the government’s unwavering dedication to uplifting the lives of its citizens.
As the sun sets over the picturesque landscapes of Ramban, Banihal, and Batote, it illuminates not just the newly constructed houses, but also the bright hopes and aspirations of the families who now call them home. Through PMAY-U, dreams have been realized, and futures have been secured, paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous society.
Parveen Kumar from Ward No-2, Mansar, MC Batote, Manzoor Ahmed Mir from Ward No-05 Hollan, MC Banihal, and Pritam Singh, from Ward No-1, Bass Mohalla near Rehamat Masjid, MC Ramban, recounted their poignant journeys of transitioning from houselessness to homeownership. Reflecting on their past experiences, they vividly recalled the hardships endured during rainy days and the harsh summer and winter seasons in their previous accommodations. With heartfelt gratitude, they thanked the PM for bestowing upon them not just a PMAY-U house, but dignity, social security, and safety.
They affectionately refer to their newfound homes as ‘SapnokaGhar’, symbolizing the realization of their dreams.
