Kathua : In an era where digital literacy is no longer a luxury but a necessity, a comprehensive workshop was held on Wednesday at Government High School Bani, under the prudent guidance of the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Manoj Kumar Anand.
The workshop was orchestrated with a focus on the crucial skill of filling Google Forms and other online tools that are fast becoming indispensable in contemporary teaching methodologies and administrative operations.
The workshop was graced by the participation of all Pay Centres across UPS Bhullari, UPS Dhaman, UPS Chhabaroo, UPS Drabal, and UPS Kote Fagulta. The Heads of Institutions (HOIs) representing different schools of Zone Bani were also active participants in the insightful session.
Manoj Kumar Anand, Zonal Education Officer, underscored the importance of digital literacy in the present age. He stated, “In a world rapidly moving towards remote working and online education, tools like Google Form have become essential components that enable efficient and effective communication, along with seamless data collection.”
The workshop was designed to be highly interactive and engaging. Detailed training was imparted on various portals such as U-DISE, Samiksha, Aadharshila, and Shalla Sidhi. Attendees were given the opportunity for hands-on experience, facilitating a deeper understanding of these digital resources. Every point related to Google Forms and other online works was meticulously elaborated and discussed, ensuring attendees gained a thorough comprehension of the subject matter.
The workshop concluded on an upbeat note, with attendees and mentors expressing their appreciation for the initiative. Attendees voiced their gratitude for the opportunity to acquire knowledge on these crucial digital tools. They expressed how this training would be immensely valuable in their day-to-day teaching activities and administrative tasks.
The Zonal Education Officer Bani, in his future vision, plans to conduct more of these workshops to further foster digital literacy among educators in the region. This initiative is seen as a significant stride towards bridging the digital divide and empowering educators with contemporary skills.
