Militant associate arrested in Sopore: Police

Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that a militant associate was on Wednesday arrested by it in Sopore besides which hand grenade was also recovered from the possession of the said militant associate.
In a statement issued from Zonal police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in Sopore police along with 22 (RR) and CRPF (179 BN) arrested a militant associate identified as Arif Hussain Bhat S/o Ali Mohammad Bhat R/o Mundji Bomai, adding therein that the said militant associate was arrested on specific inputs who during searches was found to have remained in constant touch with militant handlers across the border and on his disclosure, a live hand grenade was recovered.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 04/2024 was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Bomie, Police in it’s above quoted statement said that further investigation into the case is underway.
