Ramban : Khadi Village & Industries Board (KVIB), Ramban, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, on Wednesday organized a seminar cum awareness camp at Dharam-A, Panchayat of the Sub-division Gool. The event aimed to disseminate information about various schemes such as PMEGP, JKREGP, and PM Vishwakarma implemented by KVIB, Ramban, to empower the local youth and promote entrepreneurship.
Zonal Officer, KVIB, Ramban, Tanver Ahmed Wani, welcomed the distinguished guests, members of the public and unemployed youth, emphasizing the importance of these schemes in fostering a culture of self-employment.
Addressing the gathering, BI, DIC Ramban, Ravi Danaishwar Singh, provided detailed insights into schemes like PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma, elucidating the application process and benefits available to aspiring entrepreneurs through DIC enrollment.
The event also saw the participation of representatives from J&K Bank, Sangaldan, R-SETI, Handloom and Handicrafts Department, Ramban, who provided additional support and guidance to the attendees. The seminar succeeded in motivating unemployed youth from neighbouring Panchayats to explore avenues for self-employment, leveraging the financial assistance and subsidies available under the PMEGP Scheme for both manufacturing and service sectors.
Expressing gratitude, the District Officer, KVIB, Ramban, Farooq Ahmed Baba extended a vote of thanks to the former Panchayat Raj Institution (PRI) members and the enthusiastic youth for their active participation, signaling a promising future for entrepreneurship and economic growth in the region.
