Absconder evading his arrest 13 years held in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest since 13 years was arrested by team of Police Station Bisnah, officials said.
A police spokesman said after receiving information at PS Bishnah through reliable sources regarding an absconder who was evading his arrest since year 2011 years in case FIR No. 158/2011 U/S 48 Exise Act of PS Bishnah.”Special police teams of PS Bishnah led by SHO PS Bishnah did strenuous efforts and raided at the suspected area and finally arrested the said person,” he said. The accused has been identified as Ashwani Kumar S/o Chain Lal R/o Chak Waziro Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu. “It is pertinent to mention that a warrant of arrest U/S 512 Cr.PC was also issued against the said absconder,” he said The spokesman said that on Tuesday the warrant was executed and the said accused was sent to District Jail Kathua.
