K H Snippets: LG’s Weeklong Activities At Major Public Events Within, Outside J&K

Srinagar: Following is the timeline of the weeklong activities of Jammu & Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha at major public events both within and outside Jammu & Kashmir:-
On Feb 17, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh for approval of road infrastructure projects in Jammu Kashmir.
On Feb 18, during this month’s Awaam ki Awaaz programme, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha highlighted efforts to provide social justice to build an Atmanirbhar Jammu Kashmir. He also shared the stories of beneficiaries and inspiring unsung heroes that have become embodiments of transformation in Naya Jammu Kashmir.
On Feb 18, LG Manoj Sinha addressed the Convocation Ceremony of Khardiha Mahavidyalaya, Ghazipur. The Lt Governor congratulated the graduating students and their parents on the momentous occasion and extended his best wishes to them for all the success in the future. He attended the Annual college festival of Jagjivan Ram Inter College, Nagsar, Ghazipur. He congratulated the college management, teachers and students on the occasion. Educational institutions are the centers of social transformation.
On Feb 20, Jammu Kashmir Raj Bhawan celebrated the Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram.Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his hearty greetings and best wishes to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on the occasion of their Statehood Day.
On Feb 20, LG Manoj Sinha thanked the people of Jammu Kashmir for turning out in large numbers to welcome the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and to shower their blessings on him. PM’s historic public rally at MA Stadium was also connected virtually to 285 blocks across Jammu & Kashmir.
On Feb 20, LG Sinha released a book titled ‘Beyond the Frozen Frontiers’, authored by Col Ajay K Raina (Retd), at Raj Bhawan. The Lt Governor congratulated the author for his remarkable work on the great warrior and military strategist General Zorawar Singh.
On February 21, LG Manoj Sinha met the delegation of Padari Tribe at Raj Bhawan. The delegation led by Sunil Sharma, former Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Lt Governor led J&K Government for Scheduled Tribe status to Padari tribe.
On Feb 21, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the snow sports event of 4th Khelo India Games at the world-famous ski resort, Gulmarg. Nisith Pramanik, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports and Home Affairs also graced the occasion.
On Feb 22, LG Manoj Sinha conducted on-site inspection and reviewed ongoing construction work of the transit accommodation for PM Package employees at Zewan. The Lt Governor directed the officials to complete 10 Blocks comprising 240 residential units by March 20, 2024.He further directed the officials for installation of CCTV cameras, and to complete the work on the approach road to the Transit Accommodation and boundary wall, simultaneously.
On Feb 22, LG Sinha interacted with the 160-member delegation of Pahari Community from Kashmir division at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the Government is committed to empowerment of tribal communities. It is a new era of progress, prosperity, stability and hope for the tribal population of Jammu & Kashmir, he said.
On Feb 22, LG Manoj Sinha met the delegation of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) at Raj Bhawan Srinagar. The members of the community expressed their profound gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for reservations in Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of J&K.
On Feb 23, LG Manoj Sinha inaugurated the new Girls Hostel at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar. The Lt Governor congratulated the NIT management, faculty members and students on the occasion. “The facility is dedicated to our daughters who are breaking the barriers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics- STEM education and ready to shape the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem,” he said.
On Feb 23, LG Sinha conducted the on-site inspection of the construction work of ‘Balidan Stambh’ at Pratap Park in Srinagar. The Lt Governor emphasized on timely completion of the prestigious project.
