Dir Sericulture presides over Skill Dev Training Prog under HADP at Ang

Anantnag : In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the skills and capacities of farmers in the sericulture sector, the Director Sericulture, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat presided over a five-day Skill Development Training programme at the District Sericulture office Sarnal, Anantnag.
The training programme witnessed participation of local farmers who actively engaged in various sessions and workshops tailored to elevate their expertise in sericulture practices. The event was conducted as part of the ongoing initiatives under the Horticulture and Agriculture Development Program (HADP).
Director during his address emphasized the importance of skill development for farmers in the sericulture sector. He highlighted the role of sericulture in promoting sustainable agriculture and economic growth.
The 5-day programme includes comprehensive training modules covering various aspects of sericulture, including mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing techniques, disease management, and post-harvest processing.
Experts and resource persons in the field shared their knowledge and best practices with the participants. To ensure a holistic learning experience, the training programme incorporated hands-on practical sessions. Farmers had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge gained during the workshops to real-world scenarios, enhancing their practical skills.
The participants actively engaged in interactive question-and-answer sessions, facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences. This approach aimed at addressing specific concerns and challenges faced by farmers in the sericulture sector.
Director sericulture said that the sector plays a crucial role in our agricultural landscape, and empowering our farmers with the right skills is essential for its sustainable growth.
