ADDC Kupwara hands over Load Carrier to fisherman under PMMSY

Kupwara : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat on Saturday handed over a three wheeler load carrier with Ice Box to a fisherman at D.C office complex, here.
The three wheeler load carrier was provided to the beneficiary Aijaz Ahmad Malla under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) for Post Harvest Management.
Price of the three Wheeler is 3.28 lacs and (subsidy) departmental share is 1.20 lacs.
Aijaz Ahmad Malla of Lokipora Handwara was selected amongst the 27 applicants through draw of lots.
While complimenting the fisherman, ADDC emphasised upon him to work with passion and dedication to earn a decent livelihood with dignity.
The Assistant Director, Fisheries Department Kupwara, Sajad Ahmad on the occasion said that the Fisheries Department is committed to improve the livelihood of the fishermen community as well as fish farmers who are engaged with the fish farming.
