Udhampur: Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Joginder Singh Jasrotia on Friday chaired a meeting at the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Udhampur, to assess the status of pre and post-matric scholarship schemes in the district.
The meeting witnessed the presence of District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta, Chief Education Officer, Geetu Bangotra, all Zonal Education Officers, and Heads of Government as well as Private Education Institutions in the district.
The ADC emphasized 100% coverage of all eligible students, instructing heads of educational institutions to ensure that no eligible student is devoid of scholarship benefits.
He urged the CEO to streamline processes, including Aadhar enrollment, income certificate issuance, and bank account opening, for swift disbursement of scholarship funds through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The ADC stressed the need for the effective and focused implementation of scholarship schemes to achieve their intended objectives.
