Enriching Educational visit empowers students of GMS Ghordi

Jammu : An enriching educational visit was organized for Students of Government Girls Middle School Ghordi, Zone Ghordi for classes 6th to 8th, aligning with the principles of the National Education Policy 2020. The excursion, coinciding with a ‘bag less day,’ aimed to provide students with practical learning experiences beyond the confines of traditional classroo
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to explore various facets of their local community, including visits to the Industrial Estate, Smart Bazaar, Railway Station, and the Fruit & Vegetable Market in Udhampur. Engaging with individuals from diverse professions allowed students to gain firsthand insights into different career paths and industries.
The enthusiasm and excitement among the students were palpable as they immersed themselves in each destination, eagerly absorbing new knowledge and experiences. Their interaction with professionals further enriched their understanding of real-world applications of classroom learning.
Overall, the educational visit proved to be both educational and enjoyable, leaving a lasting impact on the students’ holistic development. Such initiatives not only complement the academic curriculum but also foster a spirit of exploration and curiosity among young learners, paving the way for their future success.
Meanwhile, a Vocational tour to Fish Pond Kathua and Handicrafts & Handloom Centre Sallan, was organised by U.P.S. Sunkhal for providing valuable exposure to their students of various industries.
The Visit, meticulously planned by the school administration, aimed to offer students a firsthand understanding of practical applications in different fields. The visit to the Fish Pond Kathua provided insight into aquaculture practices, and the importance of aquaculture based livelihoods. At the Handicrafts & Handloom Centre Sallan, students were immersed in the vibrant world of traditional crafts and weaving techniques.
The occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed members of the Sunkhal community, including Rachhpal Singh, former Sarpanch; Maan Singh, former Panch; Krishan Singh, Lamberdar, along with several other respected individuals.
The vocational tour at Fish Pond Kathua and Handicrafts & Handloom Centre Sallan marks a milestone in the academic journey of U.P.S. Sunkhal, underscoring the school’s dedication to fostering experiential learning and practical skill development among its students.
