DC Kishtwar chairs Task Force Meeting on Pulse Polio Immunization 2024

Kishtwar: In a proactive move to bolster efforts against polio, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. DevanshYadav spearheaded a crucial Task Force Meeting on Pulse Polio Immunization 2024.
The meeting convened stakeholders from various sectors to strategize and chart a course for a successful polio vaccination campaign in the district.
The meeting was attended by PO ICDS CEO/KDA Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, Dy CMO KishtwarDrBalbir Singh, DIO (Immunization) Kishtwar, BMO Chatroo, BMO Drabshalla, BMO, Sanatan Dharma Sabha Members,
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, emphasizing the importance of collective action, DC Kishtwar underscored the district’s commitment to eradicating polio and safeguarding the health of its citizens.
The agenda encompassed a comprehensive review of past immunization endeavors, analysis of current challenges, and formulation of a robust action plan for the upcoming campaign. Participants engaged in constructive dialogue, exchanging insights and experiences to optimize strategies and address pertinent issues.
Key points of the meeting included the identification of high-risk areas, enhancement of community engagement efforts, and the allocation of resources for effective implementation. Strategies to combat vaccine hesitancy and misinformation emerged as focal points, with an emphasis on tailored communication and outreach initiatives.
Furthermore, the meeting underscored the importance of seamless coordination among governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders.
DC Kishtwar emphasized upon microplanning and enlisting of all High-risk areas of the district for 100% coverage.
The chair was also informed for the support from anganwadi staff and helpers to be part of vaccination team in their areas.
DC Kishtwar specially stressed upon Creating awareness and publicity regarding Polio by various activities.
DC Kishtwar stressed upon rigorous planning, resource mobilization, and extensive outreach efforts to ensure the widest possible coverage and participation in the vaccination drive.
