Hakeem Yaseen seeks early snow clearance operations on Budgam roads ,restoration of affected power & water supply

Srinagar|Feb,21: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaeen has urged the district administration Budgam to clear snow from various roads in the upper kandi areas of Budgam district. He has also called for early restoration of power and water supply in the snow affected rural areas of Budgam where feeders and electric lines have been damaged due to the heavy snow fall.
In a statement issued on Wednesday Hakeem said though snow has been partially cleared from the roads in the main Budgam town and in its close proximity areas but maximum roads in upper kandi areas of the district were still closed as snow clearance machinery have not reached there as yet. Similarly power supply in kandi area has not been restored as yet . He has urged the government to deploy men and machinery in strength to retore road communication and power supply in the all snow affected areas to ease hardships of the people as early as possible.
“ Problems caused by widespread snowfall across the valley should be solved at the earliest, Hakeem said adding that there should not be any delay in restoration of road connectiv- He has also urged for early restoration of National High- way -44 , Srinagar-Leh highway , Mughal Road and roads connecting Bandipora-Gurez, Keran and karnah . He has urged the administration to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities to the consumers which has been affected due to closure of Srinagar- Jammu National Highway.
