Samba: Under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge and its chairman Adnan Sayeed, the District Legal Services Authority Samba organized a Legal awareness program on “The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015”, here on Tuesday at ShriRaghunath Sanskrit VidyalayaBirpur, Bari Brahmana.
Chairman, Child Welfare Committee Samba Neemesha Rajput and Priyanka Gupta, Legal cum Probationary Officer were the speakers. They shared their knowledge on the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Samba RekhaKapoorNischal also addressed the participants and advised the students to work hard and become good and responsible citizens of the country.
The objective of organizing the programme was to educate the students about the core topics of Rights and Protection of Children, Categories of Children (Child in Conflict with Law, Child in need of Care and Protection and Child in contact with Law), the role of Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee.
During the course of the program, the DLSA Secretary interacted with the students and responded to their queries on the subject. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Nisha Rani, Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel, while Vinod Kumar Sharma conveyed the vote of thanks.
The program was attended by students, faculty members of ShriRaghunath Sanskrit VidyalayaBirpur, Bari Brahmana, Samba, and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority Samba.
