DLSA B’gam organises Awareness Prog on ‘Save Girl Child & Child Labour’

Budgam: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam, under the aegis of JKLSA Saturday organized a day long programme on ‘Save Girl Child and Child Labour’ at ADR Centre, Budgam.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman DLSA, Budgam and under the supervision of Jehangir Ahmad Bakshi, Secretary DLSA Budgam.
Adv. Javid Ahmad Mir, while speaking on the occasion, said that the main objective of the day is to provide support and opportunities to the girls of India. He educated participants about their legal rights, gender equality and protection from discrimination.
He also made participants aware about dire consequences of child marriage, child labour, and gender-based violence.
AdvFeroz Ahmed Khan, also spoke on the occasion and disseminated information about the importance of the day.
The event witnessed the participation of staff of DLSA Budgam, Panel Lawyers, Para Legal Volunteers and general public.
