Pulse Polio Immunizations programme in Srinagar

Ganderbal : In a proactive move to enhance public health initiatives, a District Task Force (DTF) meeting for Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) was on Friday held in the VC Room of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal (ADC), Gulzar Ahmad and was attended by key stakeholders to strategize and coordinate efforts for the upcoming immunization program.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Afroza Shah, Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal; Mirza Asif Ali Beigh, Executive Officer of Municipal Council Ganderbal; Muzamil Akhter, Chief Education Officer Ganderbal; Dr. Nighat Yasmeen, Dy. CMO Ganderbal and Dr. Bushra Yousuf, District Immunization Officer Ganderbal.
Representatives from the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) were also present.
During the deliberations, the ADC emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and dedicated efforts to ensure the success of the IPPI program covering the set target Population of 46,689.
The ADC emphasized that the hilly and hard-to-reach areas, where accessibility and adverse weather conditions pose significant challenges, need special and extra attention to ensure no one is left out.
On-the-spot instructions were issued to concerned departments to streamline their operations and enhance coordination for effective implementation of the program scheduled on 3rd, 4th and 5th of March 2024.
As the IPPI program gears up for implementation, the District Task Force remains steadfast in its resolve to achieve maximum immunization coverage, safeguarding the health and well-being of the community, especially the vulnerable segments residing in remote areas.
The District Task Force Meeting for IPPI in Ganderbal concluded on a promising note, with a renewed sense of determination and collaboration among stakeholders.
With concerted efforts and proactive measures, the district aims to achieve its goal of a polio-free future, ensuring the health and safety of its citizens.
