Awantipora: Noorpora cricket stadium in Awantipora area of South Kashmir witnessed an electrifying conclusion to the Noorpora Premier League (NPL), organised by the local youth, as the final match was played between NCC Noorpora and Marhama XI, amid huge crowd of spectators.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), J&K spokesman, Altaf Thakur attended the final as Chief Guest, while Assistant Commandant of CRPF, besides concerned BDO & other officials were also present. In a nail-biting finish, NCC Noorpora team successfully won the final match, and emerged as the champions of the Noorpora Premier League (NPL) tournament title.
Talking to reporters, BJP spokesman, Altaf Thakur has said that, “It is nice to see that such big tournaments are being organised at Tral sub district, as it is a good sign and shows the change of situation on ground.” He said that he is in touch with sports authorities, and is hopeful that the renovation work on Bajwani stadium is completed at the earliest.
