GDC Kulgam organizes Webinar on ‘Major reforms in Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions’

Kulgam : An illustrative and enlightening webinar covering the recently released “Major reforms in Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions” by NAAC was conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Government Degree College (GDC) Kulgam under the aegis of VIKSIT BHARAT @2024.
The webinar was organised for the colleges of J&K to understand the importance of NAAC accreditation for colleges and newly introduced Binary and Maturity Based Graded Accreditation syste
More than 150 participants from diverse Higher Education Institutes from Jammu and Kashmir besides other institutes from across the country attended the event. Amongst the participants from all over the country included the noted luminaries, academicians, principals of various colleges, faculty members, Scientists, Research scholars and students.
Principal of the college, Prof. Syed Eazaz Hussain Rizvi in his address highlighted the significance of NAAC accreditation for colleges and unveiled the steps taken by the institution in this direction.
The invited speaker on the occasion, Prof. Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Director, Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, University of Kashmir gave a detailed presentation on the theme with his outlook and considerate knowledge on the theme covering all aspects of the NAAC accreditation.
His presentation focused on the importance of NAAC accreditation for colleges, besides presenting a detailed analysis of the new NAAC reforms in Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions.
Coordinator IQAC, GDC Kulgam, Dr. Gowhar Hamid Dar highlighted the achievements of the institution since its establishment in 2004. He further put in the picture of progress made by the college and IQAC cell post accreditation and also detailed out the plan of action to be carried for the future.
The theme was discussed in detail by the attendees and all the issues and aspects related to the theme were talked through in depth.
