Kishtwar: To address the public issues at their doorsteps, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ghulam Rasool on Wednesday presided over a Public Grievances Redressal Camp here at Chatroo as part of weekly Block Diwas Program.
The camp witnessed the active participation of district and sectoral officers, including ACD Phulail Singh, SDM Chatroo Nayeem Ur Rehman, BDO Inderwal Hitesh Singh, CDPO Inderwal Dr Kuldeep Kumar, CAO Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik,CAHO Sajjid Mustafa, EXENs among others.
Local residents and delegations projected a wide range of demands including upgrading of local infrastructure and the streamlining of the public delivery system in the area.
Key grievances revolved around the replacement of wooden poles, timely payments under RDD, and expediting the developmental projects in the region.
ADDC Kishtwar, after patiently hearing, assured the community that their grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner. Notably, a significant number of issues were resolved on the spot through consultations with the concerned officers, including ACD, BDO, and relevant Executive Engineers.
In his address, ADDC Kishtwar emphasized the core objective of Block Diwas – to redress people’s grievances at their doorstep. He urged district officers to act stringently against dereliction of duty by officials, executing agencies, and contractors.
This proactive engagement signifies the administration’s commitment to ensuring effective governance and addressing the needs of the people directly. The success of the Public Grievance Redressal Camp reflects the collaborative efforts of the community and administration in building a responsive and accountable governance structure.
