Srinagar: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has sought an action taken report from the administration of Jammu and Kashmir pertaining to the matter of alleged harassment of a six-year-old child by a private school of Srinagar.
In this regard the commission has issued a show cause notice to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar—seeking the action taken report with regard to the matter.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), NCPCR in a show cause notice regarding alleged harassment of a 6 year old Child by Foundation World School, Humhama said that the commission had invited attention in 2021 from the concerned authorities and had even sent the reminder notices twice regarding the matter.
The commission said that the concerned authorities from Jammu and Kashmir were requested to send a detailed inquiry and investigation report to the Commission.
“The action taken report on the above matter has not been received by the Commission so far,” it reads.
NCPCR accordingly requested the concerned authorities to share the ATR or the investigation report desired by the commission within seven days of receipt of this letter.
“In the event of non-receipt of the same, the commission in pursuance of its functions and powers u/s 13 & 14 of the CPCR Act, 2005 shall require your appearance in person or through video conferencing in this matter along with the details of the redressal of complaint or reasons for non-redressal of the complaint,” reads the show cause notice
