Pulwama: The department of Handicrafts and Handloom Saturday organised Awareness cum Exhibition program at Aripal Tral, in which a large number of women artisans participated.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral, S Y Naqash inaugurated the program, while Assistant Director, Handicrafts and Handloom, Pulwama, Mohammad Yaseen Bhat, besides other officials attended the camp.
On the occasion, the speakers said that the motive of organising the program was to make artisans aware of the various welfare schemes of the department, and to showcase the local artisans’ artistic work. During the program, handmade products of various women artisans of Aripal and Tral were showcased, while the officials said that such exhibition cum awareness programs will be conducted in future as well.
