Srinagar : An “Awareness Camp Cum Exhibition ” was inaugurated at Zero Bridge, Rajbagh Srinagar, by the Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah on Saturday in presence of the Dy. Director Handicrafts (Trgs), Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Srinagar and Publicity Cum Exhibition Officer, Kashmir.
Over 10 stalls have been set up, creating an immersive experience for visitors to engage directly with the talented artisans. This unique setup allows patrons to witness the artistry first-hand and purchase one-of-a-kind crafts directly from the creators.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehmood Ahmad Shah emphasized on the crucial role of promoting handicrafts in the region. He spoke passionately about the empowerment of artisans in Kashmir, highlighting the need to preserve and uplift the rich heritage-of traditional crafts.
