DC Kulgam chairs public darbar at Qaimoo, listens to issues of people for early redressal

Kulgam : Continuing the endeavour to reach out to people and to provide governance at doorsteps of people, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Saturday visited Qaimoo where he held public grievances redressal camp.
The programme witnessed overwhelming response of people from Redwani, Qaimoo, Hawoora Wanpora, Ashmuji and other villages who apprised the DC about their issue and grievances for early redressal.
Delegation from Redwani demanded establishment of fire services station, Widening of Kawaki Bazar Road, installation of Solar lights from Yaripora stop to Ziyarat Shareef Qaimoo.
Civil society members from Qaimoo demanded establishment of ITI College,veterinary Centre, Treasury office, upgradation of girls high school and projected various other demands.
People also demanded for generation of Postal Pincode for the area and also demanded posting of gynecologists in local hospital.
Auqaf Committee members, Traders Association also participated in this grievance redressal camp and put forth issues and demands of the area. Delegation of Ashmuji demanded development and extension of Playfied, upgradation of school at Cheki Ashmuji.
All the issues were listened to by the DC and some of the issues of immediate nature were redressed on the spot.

While addressing on the occasion the DC said that administration is committed for holistic development of all areas.
He also urged people to actively participate in Gram Sabhas to prioritize developmental works of their areas so the funds can get properly utilized for the larger interest of people.
The DC also informed the people that for collection and proper disposal of waste, hooper service has been introduced for villages and sought cooperation of people in making the Kulgam district clean and beautiful.
At the outset of the grievances camp, officers briefed the chair about the status of works under execution of these executing agencies.
On the occasion, DC directed them to ensure timely completion of all works.
Others who were present in the grievances camp including ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, JDP, ACR, ACD, ACP and other officers.
Later the Deputy Commissioner visited the under construction SDH building and took stock of physical progress of the building which is under the execution of R&B and will come up with an estimated cost of Rs,19.32 crore.
The DC instructed Exen to ensure completion of SDH building within stipulated time frame so the project can be dedicated to people.
