DC B’la chairs meeting to review progress under PMAY-G, Capex, ADP & PM-Vishwakarma

Baramulla : Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the progress of works under MNREGA, PMAY-G, District Capex /ADP and PM-Vishwakarma at a conference of DC office here.
During the meeting, the DC was informed that a total of 14126 candidates have registered to avail the benefits of PM- Vishwakarma Scheme across panchayats and urban areas of the district while 2367 candidates have been approved under various trades to undergo a training in collaboration with skill development department.
The DC directed the concerned executing department to collaborate and start the training for the approved cases by 15th of this month.
Providing an update about PM NREGA progress, the ACD informed the meeting that against a budget of 15.76 lacs workdays have been allocated for 16.14 lacs which amounts for 102% of the total allocation.
About PMAY-G progress in the district, it was given out that for the financial year 2023-24, against a target of 4265 units, a total of 4213 were sanctioned while the first installment of funding have been released to 3929 cases.
The DC while reviewing the work directed the the concerned department to allocate to work-days under PM NREGA for the construction work of houses under PMAY-G.
Meanwhile, the meeting was informed that under the district capex budget a total of 1590 works were allocated for FY 2023-24 at an estimated budget of Rs. 60.78 Crore while 1435 works have been taken up and 891 have been completed. It was also mentioned that rest of the taken-up works would be completed by the year end.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, Javaid Ahmad, General Manager DIC Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, , ACP Panchayat, BDOs from all the block of the district and other concerned officers.
