DC Poonch reviews scheme wise progress of Aspirational Block Dev Prog

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary on Friday reviewed the scheme wise progress made under the Aspirational Block Development Programme here at a meeting held in the conference hall of the DC office.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Program Officer ICDS, ACP, Chief Medical Officer, District Information Officer, Chief Education Officer., Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, Xen’s and other concerned.
The DC reviewed the progress made under the programme in the identified areas that required improvement. He directed concerned departments to take necessary steps to improve the indicators and achieve the targets. The meeting also discussed the physical progress of ongoing works being executed by RDD, PWD, Agriculture, Education, Health and other departments.
He also stressed the importance of channelizing resources towards the modernization and overall development of Aspirational Blocks.
In addition to the Aspirational Block Development Programme, the DC reviewed the implementation of the dairy development scheme in the Aspirational Block Mankote.
The chair was informed by the officers of the concerned departments about the ongoing activities and progress thereof. The DC stressed on promotion of integrated farming and promotion of animal rearing for diversifying the economic activities, adding that the need of the hour is to increase farmers’ income by such interventions.
