Secy KVIB chairs Distt Level Awareness Prog at Katra

Katra: J&K KVIB Reasi on Thursday organized District Level Awareness Programme at Durga Bhawan Katra under the Chairmanship of Secretary/CEO J&K KVIB, Dr. Jagdish Chander Mehra.
The Awareness programme focused on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) & Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) Schemes.
The functionaries of Khadi & Village Industries Board made people aware about the benefits provided to aspirants under the twin schemes.
They said aspirants can avail Easy loan facilities through recognized financial institutions for self employment and self entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar, (Field Officer) J&K KVIB enjoined upon the budding entrepreneurs to harvest the opportunities being provided by the government schemes by establishing self employment ventures.
Ashwani Kumar I/C District Officer KVIB Reasi, while addressing the public informed that entrepreneurs have choice to setup ventures in manufacturing, services and trading sectors under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP).
The beneficiaries with middle pass qualification are being provided financial assistance up to fifty lakh in manufacturing sector and twenty lakh under Services sector to establish their self-employment generating units, he added.
He also sensitized the participants about procedures and various formalities required for registration and uploading of application forms under PMEGP & JKREGP schemes.
The camp was attended by Tilak Raj Dy. Chief Executive Officer Jammu Division, Ashwani Kumar I/C District Officer KVIB Reasi, Harish Dogra J&K Bank Manager Branch Arli, Rajinder Kumar Mengi (DDC Chairman) Panthal, Bansi Lal State Vice President Mazdoor Dastkar Union J&K, Yougal Kishore Zila Pardaan (Sarpanch) Kundorian.
