CRC Srinagar organizes Rehabilitation/ Distribution Camp for beneficiaries

Srinagar : The Composite Regional Centre, (CRC), Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ&E), Government of India, Bemina, Srinagar on Tuesday conducted rehabilitation cum Distribution Camp under ADIP scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India in collaboration with ALIMCO, Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra (PMDK) at CRC campus Srinagar.
The Rehabilitation camp was attended by more than 140 beneficiaries and their attendants and concerned Rehabilitation Professionals of CRC Srinagar.
During the said rehabilitation camp, more than 230 Assistive and Mobility Aids, and Appliances viz. JoyStick Wheel Chairs (05), Battery Operated Tricycles (24), Hearing Aids (200) etc. were distributed among the registered beneficiaries on the spot.
The beneficiaries were oriented and trained to use the Mobility Aids and Assistive Devices.
Awareness about Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme, Disability Certification and UDID Card issuance, KIRAN Mental Health Helpline was also briefed to the participants.
After availing these Assistive and Mobility devices, and preliminary training, the beneficiaries (PwDs) showed their pleasure for hassle-free rehabilitation services/distribution being provided by this institution.
