Private clinic sealed after fake doctor found practicing illegally in Anantnag: CMO

Srinagar: Authorities on Saturday sealed a clinic in Anantnag town where an alleged fake doctor was practicing while the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has directed all the private clinics to provide details of practicing doctors within three days.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, Dr. M Y Zagoo, said that a clinic named Medwin Medicate located at Nazuk Mohalla in Anantnag town has been sealed this evening.
He said that the clinic was sealed after the department received complaints that a fake doctor was practicing there.
The CMO Anantnag has also issued directions, asking the clinics operating in the southern district to submit the details of the doctors practicing at the clinics.
“It has come to the notice of undersigned that one alleged fake doctor is practicing in Anantnag. Taking cognisance of the matter, a team of Officers/Officials was deputed from this office, which sealed the clinic immediately and an investigation in this regard is going on,” reads a circular.
“As such, in order to make the system transparent, all the Private Hospitals/Clinics of District Anantnag are hereby directed to furnish the information of all the doctors practicing in their respective Hospitals/Clinics as per the devised proforma within three days positively,” reads the circular
