Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, ShakeelUlRehman Rather, who is also District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, on Wednesday held a meeting to examine the groundwork for the forthcoming LokSabha elections 2024.
The meeting also took a comprehensive review of the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Panchayat electoral rolls.
The meeting discussed threadbare preparations being put in place for the upcoming democratic exercise. It also held detailed deliberations on the Transport Plan taking into account all aspects of the election process.
DC emphasized the significance of a well-organized electoral process, highlighting the need for accuracy and inclusivity in the electoral rolls.
During the meeting, detailed discussions transpired regarding strategies to enhance voter awareness, streamline administrative processes, and address potential challenges. The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer, ACR/ERO, SDM Sumbal/Gurez (Through virtual mode), ARTO, and other concerned Officers and officials associated with the election process.
