Let people and the authorities not forget the fact that water bodies are not just sources of tourist attractions but have also a very huge bearing on the survival of aquatic life. Significantly the contaminated water  also results in eruption of water borne

Water bodies are though major sources of tourist attractions in Jammu & Kashmir but with authorities paying no heed to the growing public outcry against delays in implementation of waste disposal management practices most of the water bodies are contaminated. Government talks about preservation of water bodies but it does not take care of waste disposal management systems in the vicinity of contaminated water bodies in either Kashmir Valley or Jammu division. While this year’s tourist season is just a month away, the working of the water disposal management systems in the vicinity of water bodies is yet to catch the attention of the Government and the people. Any delay in improving the working of waste disposal management systems in the vicinity of water bodies at famed tourist places can obviously prove detrimental both for the preservation of water bodies and as well as the future of tourist activities in Jammu & Kashmir. Let people and the authorities not forget the fact that water bodies are not just sources of tourist attractions but have also a very huge bearing on the survival of aquatic life. Significantly the contaminated water  also results in eruption of water borne diseases during peak summer months and as such it can be said that preservation of water bodies has also a greater bearing on the maintenance of public health. So the working of the waste disposal management system could become the cause of major public irritant equally due to the fears of the spread of water borne diseases and fall in the tourist activities at famed tourist places which are home to several famed water bodies in Jammu & Kashmir. Now it is for the Government to improve the working of waste disposal management systems in the surroundings of water bodies much before the fears of people on preservation of water bodies change into a health crisis in peak summer months.

“The preservation of water bodies does not only demand and deserve Government interventions but it also necessitates public awareness campaigns for the purposes of  the implementation of environmental regulations in the vicinity water bodies at most of the tourist places. The implementation of waste disposal management practices with active cooperation of the people through vigorous public awareness campaigns won’t only fulfill the Government’s agenda of preserving water bodies but it would also intensity tourist activities at the major tourist places where several water bodies exist.”

Not only working of the waste disposal management practices but the working of comprehensive sewerage systems also demand and deserve immediate attention  and intervention of the Government as it’s efficient working would surely intercept the flow of filth at most of the tourist places. Finally the preservation of water bodies does not only demand and deserve Government interventions but it also necessitates public awareness campaigns for the purposes of  the implementation of environmental regulations in the vicinity water bodies at most of the tourist places. The implementation of waste disposal management practices with active cooperation of the people through vigorous public awareness campaigns won’t only fulfill the Government’s agenda of preserving water bodies but it would also intensity tourist activities at the major tourist places where several water bodies exist.
