Kathua : The Assistant Commissioner Development, Kathua, Kishore Singh Katoch on Monday chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner office complex to discuss the formulation of the district convergence plan under MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and the Annual Action Plan for the Financial year 2024-25.
The meeting was attended by the Block Development Officers and officers of the Line departments.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the Annual Action Plan in convergence with MGNREGA 2024-25. The BDOs were instructed to work together in a coordinated manner with all the line departments to ensure the development of a purposeful convergence plan for the creation of durable assets.
Furthermore, the ACD conducted a comprehensive review of various key indicators of MGNREGA with the BDOs. He emphasized the need to improve parameters such as timely payments, ABPS (Aadhaar-based Payment System), and work completion, among others, within a defined timeframe.
The ACD further urged the BDOs to take proactive steps and work diligently to meet these benchmarks in a time-bound manner & emphasized the need for effective coordination and collaboration among all stakeholders and line departments to ensure the successful formulation and implementation of the district convergence plan for the creation of durable assets under MGNREGA.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to work towards achieving the objectives and targets set for the financial year 2024-25.
