Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, (District Election Officer), Ayushi Sudan on Monday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Panchayat Electoral Roll 2024.
On the occasion, the DC impressed upon all the officers to work with added dedication and coordination to ensure achievement of the targets within the stipulated timeframe.
Regarding cent percent registration of voters, the DC directed the Panchayat-BLOs to make door to door surveys in their respective panchayats for enrollment of the targeted voters.
The DC also directed the BDOs (AEROs) to monitor the progress of Panchayat BLOs on daily basis to ensure the achievement of the target. She asked them to ensure punching of data submitted by the P-BLOs on regular basis.
Ayushi impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure Assured Minimum facilities (AMFs) at polling stations to facilitate the voters.
ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; ACR Kupwara, SDM Sogam, AC Panchayats, DIO, Dy.DEO, BDOs (AEROs), Officials from Election Office Kupwara and other concerned were present in the meeting.
