Ang: As the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van traverses through various Panchayats including Dupathyar, K. Teng A, Waghama Payee, Marhama C, Shalgam, Marhama A, Marhama B, Panchipora, Sethar, and Waghama Bala, a noticeable surge in community engagement has been observed. This reflects a shared commitment to advancing the district’s development.
So far, over 2.53 lakh people actively participated, showcasing the profound impact and immense potential of this movement in unifying the populace towards the common goal of a developed India.
The Yatra, extending its reach to the remotest corners of the district, has been instrumental in disseminating awareness about various government welfare schemes. On-ground services such as PM Ujjwala Yojana enrolments, MY Bharat volunteer registrations, and distribution of Ayushman cards have further facilitated direct engagement with essential social welfare programs.
During the Yatra, citizens actively engaged in numerous government schemes, underscoring significant participation. Over 2499 individuals gained access to clean cooking fuel under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and distribution of Ayushman cards provided comprehensive health cover of Rs. 5 Lakhs per family per year to thousands. Health screenings conducted at Health Camps benefited more than 94,184 citizens.
The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana collectively provided accident and life insurance respectively to thousands, advancing financial inclusion nationwide.
Moreover, the Yatra facilitated over 222 beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi scheme and enrolled more than 215 new beneficiaries under PM KISAN, promoting financial independence and agricultural support. The ‘MY Bharat’ initiative witnessed over 16,097 lakh youth registering themselves, reflecting a significant surge in engagement within the framework of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Beyond being a mere march, the Yatra symbolizes a resounding call to action echoing throughout the district. Thursday’s efforts signal a promising future, emphasizing the empowerment of every citizen and marking a collective resolve to propel India towards its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Rajouri: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) traversed through the panchayats of Dreari, Deri Ralyote Lower, Deri Ralyote Upper, Galhuti Lower, Saaj-2, Badakana, Bhattian and Mehrajpura of block Plangarh and Manjakote of Rajouri district, Thursday. The strategic journey highlighted the benefits of government initiatives.
The ambitious initiative has been strategically crafted to transform Rajouri by extending its reach to underserved areas and ensuring the effective execution of government programs, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
Central to this endeavor is an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van, a dynamic mobile platform designed to effectively communicate and create awareness about the diverse initiatives undertaken as part of the Yatra. The van plays a pivotal role in engaging with local communities, imparting crucial knowledge, and empowering residents to avail themselves of the benefits offered by government schemes.
The VBSY has recorded notable success in the implementation of various government schemes in Rajouri District.
