PM Vishwakarma Yojna: Skill Training for first batch takes off at Bhaderwah

Jammu: The prestigious PM Vishwakarma Yojna was virtually inaugurated in Bhaderwah by Sudarshan Kumar, Director Skill Development J&K with the start of Skill Training in Tailoring trade (Vishwakarmasin Darzi) for first batch of 20 youth( 2 males and 18 females) of ITI Bhaderwah .
The Programme was also attended by Joint Director Skill Development Jammu Er. G.M. Bhatt and AD Skill Development virtually and Superintendent ITI Bhaderwah,Vivek Sagar Sharma along with the Faculty/ Staff of ITI Bhaderwah (Physically).
While welcoming all, Superintendent ITI Bhaderwah Vivek Sagar Sharma, thanked Director Skill Development for the launch of the1st batch of Vishwakarmas in Bhaderwah. He also gave a brief note of the Skill Training Component of PM Vishwakarma Scheme to all available beneficiaries.
The Director Skill Development J&K, in his address, mentioned that PMVY is an ambitious initiative of the Prime Minister of India. This scheme aims for recognition of artisans and crafts of people through PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID card as well as Basic Skill Training of 5 days.
The Director also interacted (virtually) with the beneficiaries (Vishwakarmas) and explained the scope of the scheme.
While speaking on the occasion, some beneficiaries of 1st batch expressed their gratitude for the opportunity given through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and pledged to dedicate themselves to acquiring skills that would not only benefit their individual careers but also contribute to the overall development of the region.
