DC Budgam, MD KPDCL inaugurate new transformer Divisional Workshop at Budgam

B’gam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam Akshay Labroo & M.D KPDCL, Mussarat-ul-Islam in presence of Chief Engineer Distribution KPDCL, Er Sandeep Seth Thursday inaugurated new transformer Divisional Workshop at Budgam.
Er Shurjeel Gani Lala Superintending Engineer Operation and Maintenance Circle-2nd Srinagar, and Er Manzoor Ahmad Dar Executive Engineer Electric Division Budgam were also present on the occasion.
The new workshop is equipped with modern EOT crane (5-10 Ton), Oven, LT-HT winding machines, oil filtration plant(2400 LPH), oil testing machine and other equipment for repairing damaged distribution transformers within the shortest possible time.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that by commissioning of the new transformer workshop the damaged distribution transformers can now be repaired at faster rate with better quality.
The DC said that the district administration Budgam is committed to ensure uninterrupted and scheduled power supply to consumers across the district.
On the occasion, the DC along with M.D KPDCL, Mussarat-ul-Islam and Chief Engineer Distribution KPDCL, Er Sandeep Seth also discussed various important issues including maintenance of buffer stock in the district and other related issues.
Improvement in HT, LT lines, pole installation and augmentation of grid and receiving stations was also discussed.
M.D KPDCL, Mussarat-ul-Islam, who also spoke on the occasion said that the new workshop will enhance quick and effective repairing and delivery of transformers in the district.
