Bandipora : In connection with the Semi Ring Road Project in Bandipora, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shakeel Ul Rehman Rather chaired a crucial meeting, here to finalize the 3G Award for Phase-2 of the project.
The meeting, attended by key officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Revenue Department, and local administration, focused on streamlining the land acquisition process for the 7-kilometer stretch covering five villages in the Sumbal sub-division.
On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned authorities to initiate the disbursement process in favour of the land owners after completion of necessary related formalities.
He directed the NHAI and Revenue Department to work closely to address any outstanding objections raised by landowners and ensure swift disposal of pending cases. Notably, all existing objections related to land acquisition have been addressed, paving the way for the finalization of the 3G Award.
The meeting underscored the need for transparent dealings with landowners and prompt payment of compensation. DC instructed the concerned officers to prioritize the processing of payments so that affected individuals receive their dues without delay.
