Prelude to National Voters’ Day 2024: Vibrant Awareness Activities Mark District Kishtwar’s Lead-Up Celebration

Kishtwar: In anticipation to the National Voters’ Day celebration on 25th January 2024 in the district, a dynamic array of awareness initiatives unfolded in Kishtwar Tuesday.
The vibrant activities aimed at fostering a sense of electoral responsibility and participation among the community.
At Kawartanji and Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Power (HEP) project sites, a dedicated “Voters’ Awareness on EVM and VVPAT” session unfolded.
The insightful session demystified the intricacies of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) for the voters followed by administration of a solemn voters’ pledge. The pledge, solemnly administered by Maneet Sharma, Nodal Officer, resonated with a congregation of 100 Workers and citizens, solidifying their commitment to the democratic process.
Simultaneously, Under the flagship initiative of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), a spirited “Voters’ Awareness Rally” echoed through the streets, commencing from Chowgan Ground and culminating at the DC Office Kishtwar. This rally, a manifestation of civic enthusiasm, was orchestrated by the District Election Officer, Dr. Devansh Yadav and meticulously executed by the District Election Cell Kishtwar, led by Dy DEO Sunil Bhutyal.
Collaborative efforts with the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Kishtwar, added an extra layer of dynamism to this impactful event.
These prelude activities set the stage for the grand celebration of National Voters’ Day in the district, emphasizing the integral role each citizen plays in shaping the democratic fabric. Dr. Devansh Yadav’s proactive approach, steering these initiatives, underscores the district administration’s dedication to ensuring an informed and engaged electorate.
